Project ARI

A house in nowhere, designed so you actually disconnect.

Most cabins claim to be a digital detox and then have a TV, a router, and a screen in every room. Project ARI starts from the opposite assumption: the house is the off switch.

There is no wifi in the rooms. Phones go in a wooden box at check in. The reward is the quiet you forgot existed and a kind of rest most adults have not had in years.

The summary I wrote when I first noted this idea down:

A vacation home in the middle of nowhere, where people will have the chance to reset their body and mind. The main goal is to stay offline during your stay and enjoy nature at its best. To deliver the feeling of being the only ones on this planet.

How it would work

One house, somewhere remote in the Alps or northern Italy. Built for four to six people. Wood, stone, a fireplace, one shared kitchen, a sauna, a long table outside.

No screens, no wifi, no notifications. Books, board games, a record player, a small library. A single landline for emergencies.

Stays start at three nights because anything shorter does not give the nervous system enough time to settle.

Who it is for

Couples who have not had a real weekend together in a year. Founders between chapters. Friend groups who actually want to be present with each other. People recovering from burnout.

Why now

The wellness market is enormous, the digital detox category is loud, and the actual product, a place that physically prevents you from working, barely exists.

Construction costs in remote areas are low. Demand for offline stays is rising faster than supply. The bottleneck is a builder with taste.

FAQ

Questions people usually ask.

Is this a hotel or a private rental?
Closer to a private rental. The whole house is yours for the stay. No staff inside.
What if I have a real work emergency?
There is a landline and a hand off protocol with a local caretaker. The point is not to cut you off from emergencies, just from your inbox.
What about food?
A starter pantry of local produce is in the house on arrival, and a nearby farm delivers. Cooking together is part of the experience.
How is this different from thedisconnect.io?
Similar spirit. Project ARI is a single physical house you book, not a content brand. Both can exist.
When could I book?
Earliest realistic opening is late 2026. The waitlist below gets first dibs on the soft launch weeks.
